STÜKEN founds subsidiary in India

Production in the greater Pune area will start in 2025

Rinteln, January 8th, 2024 – Deep-drawing specialist STÜKEN is planning to establish its own plant in India. After Germany, the USA, the Czech Republic and the People's Republic of China, India will be the fifth production site of the globally positioned family business.

The STÜKEN Group has had its own production facilities in Asia since 2006. The market leader for precision deep-drawn parts expects further significant growth in its business in South East Asia. One driver for this is the dynamic and constantly growing market for individual mobility. STÜKEN's products are in high demand in this sector, for example components for brakes, the exhaust gas system and sensors in general.

After intensive research and an assessment of the opportunities and risks, India was chosen as the location for a second site in Asia. STÜKEN has had its own sales office in India since 2013. "The country has a lot of potential," explains Dr. Uwe Krismann, CEO of STÜKEN. "With the increasing requirements regarding exhaust gas emissions, the demand for deep-drawn components for sensors in the entire powertrain has risen sharply. This technology is not only necessary for cars, but in the future also for the countless two- and three-wheelers that are sold on the Indian market every year."

The new STÜKEN plant will be built in the greater Pune area. "Pune is a center of the IT and automotive industry and already has a good supplier structure. The Pune region has been developing very dynamically and successfully for several years now and is becoming increasingly international. This also provides a pleasant environment for our employees, who will support the development on site," says Dr. Krismann. The subsidiary will be founded in 2024. The first deep-drawn parts are to be produced in India as early as 2025.
